About Us
About Our Foundation
“The Meagan Collins Foundation – An Author with a Vision Lives On,” was inspired and created based on the life of Meagan Rebecca Collins. Meagan was born at 24 weeks weighing 11.5 ounces given 24 hours to live by the doctors and died leaving a legacy at 24 years old on May 1, 2022.
After realizing the need to encourage, motivate, equip and inspire students, Meagan’s foundation was created. The mission of “The Meagan Collins Foundation, “An Author with
a Vision Lives On,” is to provide the necessary resources by first identifying the physical or mental challenge of each student.
“The Meagan Collins Foundation,” will partner with local school districts and churches in the community, Light House for the Blind, Texas Children Hospital, and other non-profit organizations to help identify children/students that would benefit from the “The Meagan Collins Foundation.” To keep her memory alive, the 501(c)3 foundation has been established in her name. Meagan Collins An Author With A Vision Lives On (EIN# 88-2203162). To donate via Zelle, send to anauthorwithavision@gmail.com. To donate via Cash App, send to $jyjcollins.

Meagan was born legally blind, but she did not let her physical challenge discourage her from achieving her purpose. She became a renowned Author of “Vengeful Assassin,” on February 25, 2022.” Meagan was a college student just short of 9 hours of receiving her degree in English. Within 64 days, Meagan had appearances on local television talk and radio shows. She also received numerous awards including a Proclamation from the Mayor proclaiming April 4, 2022 as “Meagan Collins Day,” in the City of Houston, Sylvester Turner. On May 1, 2022, Meagan also received a “Lifetime Achievement Award,” from the President of the United States, Joe Biden. Meagan had many speaking engagements encouraging students not to allow any physical or mental challenges to interfere in achieving their goal. It was during her speaking engagements she realized that many of the students dealt with personal issues such as, low self esteem, suicidal tendencies, and parental issues, victims of bullying and other mental issues that would affect their drive to succeed to live or pursue their purpose in life.
